Dr. Lorinda Sorensen, ND, LAc
Dr. Lorinda Sorensen joined the clinical sciences faculty at NUHS in 2009. She holds a degree in naturopathic medicine from Bastyr University, where she also received a masters of science in acupuncture.
Before coming to National, Dr. Sorensen had practiced in Omaha, Nebraska and in Washington state. She has also lived in New Zealand where she worked in naturopathic education.
Dr. Sorensen is a board member for the Illinois Association of Naturopathic Physicians, and a founding board member for the Endocrinology Association of Naturopathic Physicians. She also maintains several other memberships including the American Herbalist Guild and the American Botanical Council.
She is passionate about teaching herbal medicine and it is quite common for her to be making herbal preparations in her spare time.
