Fish Oil & Evening Primrose Oil Supplementation Reduces Inflammatory Markers and Improves Polyunsaturated Fatty Acid Levels in Breast Cancer Patients Undergoing Chemotherapy

Cichorium intybus L. (Chicory) and Silymarin Reduce Liver Enzymes in Burn Patients

Findings of a 4-week study with an intervention of chicory seed syrup 10 cc three times daily, along with one placebo capsule, and the control group of placebo syrup 10 cc three times daily with one Livergol capsule (140 mg of silymarin per capsule) improved liver enzymes in burn patients at day 15 compared to baseline.  (more…)

Adjuvant Ginger Administration Improved Nausea, Vomiting, and Fatigue Symptoms in Subjects Undergoing Chemotherapy

Findings of a multisite, double-blind, placebo-controlled randomized trial with two parallel arms show that adjuvant ginger supplementation at daily dose of 1.2 g ginger root powder significantly improved nausea and vomiting-related quality of life scores in subjects undergoing moderately to highly emetogenic chemotherapy.  (more…)
